International students are allowed to stay in the United Kingdom 2 years after graduation

Current international students are only allowed to stay in the UK for 4 months after completing the course according to the rules set by Theresa May. From 2021, international students applying for undergraduate, masters or doctoral programs in the UK will be allowed to stay for 2 years after they graduate (2020/2021 course).

This new strategy was put forward by the Prime Minister, with the aim of promoting the UK’s attraction as a destination for foreign students. As well as promoting marketing for UK universities and attracting talents around the world to live and work in the UK.

This is great news for international students, it will be a great opportunity for them to develop their careers and future in the UK.
